Membership in NJAWBO is a valuable tool in developing and growing your business. But like anything else you try to grow, you need to know what to do and then keep at it. NJAWBO provides you with access and opportunities. The rest is up to you!

MAKING THE RIGHT CONNECTION
One-to-One Networking - Access to a potential 1,000 members at NJAWBO events and activities.
Online Member Database - This important tool lists each member's company information and allows members and other NJAWBO website visitors to locate you and your products and/or services.
Hard Copy Directory - All members receive one directory per year shortly after they join or after their renewal. The directory contains each member's current contact information listed alphabetically as well as by business category.
State Sponsored Events - NJAWBO holds events and activities throughout the year. Some of the State sponsored events include:
Public Policy Day where we meet with legislators and administration officials to discuss public policy that is important to our membership - Trenton, November, 2006.
Annual Conference with workshops and major keynote speakers - Atlantic City, May 2007
Procurement Event & Expo where you meet corporations and government agencies looking to outsource their needed services to women and minorities - Pines Manor in Edison, February 8, 2007.
Salute to Women Leaders in Celebration of Women's History Month where we recognize those women who have made a difference in their work enviroment and community as well as recognize those who have gone above and beyond and made an impact on our lives - Crystal Plaza in Livingston March 28, 2007.
Chapter Leadership Training for NJAWBO Chapter Officers in conjunction with NJAWBO's Annual Meeting, which is open to all members, is held in May.
NJAWBO's Board of Trustees Meetings are held every other month and are open to the membership.

Chapter and Regional Events - Members can attend events in your "home" chapter or any of the 12 chapters throughout the state: Monthly Dinner meetings with guest Speakers; New Member Orientations; Luncheon & Breakfast meetings: Marketing Roundtables; Business Expos; charitable Fundraising events.
Affiliations - As a member of NJAWBO, you are automatically a member of The International Alliance for Women (TIAW); the US Women's Chamber of Commerce (USWCC) and Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP). In addition, NJAWBO members who fit the criteria may join the NJ Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Federation at a dsicounted cost off the regular membership.
Corporate Partners - Take advantage of corporate promotional discounts and opportunities for women business owners through NJAWBO's network of Corporate Partners.

Link-Me Program - Link your website to NJAWBO's www.njawbo.org. You've invested a lot of time, energy and money into your website . . . now you have to let people know it's out there!
Print Advertising - Purchase an ad in the quarterly hard copy Directory or an ad in NJAWBO's bi-monthly hard copy newsletter, the Bottom Line.
Annual & Regional Events - Purchase a display tables at the business expos, put an add n the program book, provide promotional material in the event bag or sponsor a portion of the event.
Speakers Bureau - Are you an expert in your field and like to share what you know? Then consider being part of NJAWBO's Speakers Bureau, and let others come to you to speak at their events!
PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
NJAWBO's Women's Business Center (WBC) - Grow your business skills with classes from the WBC. Classes are offered on a number of topics throughout the state for women at all stages of business ownership. NJAWBO members and their employees may take many classes at a substantial discount or in some cases, FREE!
Leadership - Participate on your Chapter board or the State Board of Trustees. Hone your skills at being an effective team player and leader.
Certification - Get your WBE certification with the help of NJAWBO.
Legislative Impact - NJAWBO is active in local, state and national political and legislative issues, advocating for the needs and concerns of women business owners throughout the state.
